Luban Workshop Hosts Kinyago Dandora Secondary School for Technology and Career Exposure Visit

On 22nd May 2026, the Luban Workshop at Machakos University hosted students and teachers from Kinyago Dandora Secondary School for an educational and career exposure visit. The learners were introduced to emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Data Communication (Datacom), Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Storage Technologies, gaining valuable insights into their applications and career opportunities in the digital world.

The students also toured the Engineering Practice Innovation Project (EPIP) Laboratory, where they witnessed demonstrations of robotic arm systems and other student-led innovations. In addition, they were sensitized on the academic programmes offered by the Department of Computing and Information Technology (CIT) at Machakos University, inspiring them to pursue careers in technology, innovation, and engineering. The visit highlighted the University’s commitment to nurturing young talent through practical learning and technological exposure.
